The Memory Desk does not ask you to create an account or sign up for a newsletter. Like other websites, its server processes request details, including an IP address and browser information, to serve pages and keep ordinary server logs.
On article pages, a small counter sends reading-depth and time events. It stores the article, day, depth, and a daily rotating identifier derived from the IP address and browser information. The counter does not store the raw IP address or browser information in its event table.
A link to a video passes through a tracking address. That address receives the article and link position so visits can be counted and may forward you to another website. The destination has its own data practices. You can read this site's articles without opening a video link.
